Safeguarding

Our Statement of Compliance

All organisations delivering NHS services are required to publish a statement of assurance that it has the necessary arrangements in place to safeguard children.

Tetbury Hospital Trust considers the safeguarding and protection of children to be a high priority throughout the organisation. The Trust meets statutory requirements in relation to the Disclosure and Barring Service checks. Child Protection Polices and systems are up to date and robust, they are routinely reviewed and monitored and systems are in place to flag children with safeguarding concerns, or those that miss appointments.

The Registered Manager and Accountable Officer for Tetbury Hospital is Laura Williams, the designated Executive for safeguarding who sits on the Board of Trustees is the Chairman, Jeremy Lodwick, the Safeguarding lead is Matron, Susan Probert.

Named professionals are clear about their roles and have sufficient time and support to undertake them. There is a rolling programme of training within the Trust to ensure that all eligible staff are trained at level 1.

Those who come into contact with children whilst performing their role are trained to level 2, and those that treat children and are responsible for policy development and adherence will be trained to level 3.
