Without exception, all the team I had contact with were very professional and clearly were working systematically as a team. This was very reassuring prior to, and during my cataract surgery. Thank you to everyone involved, not forgetting the patient liaison and accounts teams. All made sure it was as stress free as possible from first enquiry to final payment.

The staff were very welcoming. Holly allowed me to see my boyfriend in the waiting room for 5-10 minutes before I had to get my gown on as I was getting very scared which I am super thankful for. The only thing I really didn’t like was the fact that in appointments before the surgery, I was told that my boyfriend could be with me when I fall asleep and wake back up (obviously not in the theatre) as I was quite scared, which Mr Whittaker then told me on the day wasn’t true so he was stuck out there for 8 hours.

As a repeat patient to the day surgery unit, it is great to see nurses who recognise me and every member of staff is always so lovely and welcoming . It’s such a great hospital but doesn’t feel like a hospital which reduces any nerves etc. Thank you to all who were involved in my care on Wednesday.
