Tetbury Hospital Trust has over thirty highly experienced Consultants who will oversee your treatment from initial consultation through to your surgical care and recovery period. They are supported by our dedicated clinical team who will look after you throughout your stay.

We want every patient’s experience to be positive. We pride ourselves on our clinical excellence whilst adopting a personalised approach; we care for the person as well as treating the condition. We have free parking, and a covered walkway leads to the main entrance where our reception team is ready to welcome you.

Payment options

Self-funding your treatment

Outpatient consultation
Our consultants will invoice you directly for their consultation fees. You will be advised of their fee when you book your appointment.

Day case treatment
If you are self-funding your day case procedure we will provide you with a quotation, that remains fixed for six weeks, and includes your surgeon and anaesthetist’s fees. Payment for procedures must be received prior to admission.

Using private medical insurance

Outpatient consultation
If you wish to use your private medical insurance to access private healthcare at Tetbury Hospital, you must obtain authorisation from your insurance provider before booking or attending any appointments, you will usually be asked to provide a GP referral.

Day case treatment
If you require day case surgery you must contact your insurance provider who will advise if your policy covers the costs. If your insurance provider covers the cost, they will provide you with an authorisation code.

So that we can invoice your insurance provider we need the following information:

Name of your insurance provider
Your Membership/Policy number
Authorisation code provided by your insurer

You are responsible for any excess that your insurance provider does not cover.

Booking an appointment

Tetbury Hospital Trust accepts self-funding and private medically insured patients, offering you flexibility to choose which option suits you best.

If you wish to book a private patient appointment, get in touch with our dedicated private patient team who will advise appointment availability and whether a GP referral is required. If you are self-funding your treatment a GP referral may not always be necessary.

If you are using your private medical insurance, you must contact your provider for authorisation before attending an appointment, a GP referral may be required. You are responsible to pay any excess that your provider does not cover.

Following an appointment with a consultant, if a procedure is required, we will provide you with a quotation (fixed for six weeks). Find out more in our terms and conditions.
