NHS Patients

As an independent healthcare provider, Tetbury Hospital Trust is proud to deliver high quality, safe services on behalf of the NHS.

Our strong, collaborative relationship with the NHS ensures patients are cared for seamlessly. Our committed, passionate and skilled team of clinical experts and support services put patients at the heart of everything we do. We are ready to welcome you for outpatient consultations, day case surgery, X-ray, and treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.

If you have been referred to our hospital or you are considering accessing our services, look at our NHS wait times to make an informed choice.

You have the right to choose

The government is committed to giving patients greater choice over how they receive their healthcare. Not only does this give you greater control of your care, but it also allows you to get quicker and better results. These choices only apply at the point of referral (from a GP, dentist or optometrist) to providers that have an NHS contract to provide the service the patient requires. Tetbury Hospital Trust is a contractor on the NHS Choice Framework.

You have the legal right to ask to be moved to a different provider if the wait is longer than the maximum waiting time for your treatment. This means you can be referred to Tetbury Hospital Trust if you are waiting for treatment at another hospital, but the waiting list is too long.

Many NHS patients are choosing Tetbury Hospital Trust due to shorter waiting times and exceptional levels of patient care.

Our CQC rating and patient feedback will give you an understanding of the quality of care you can expect to receive at Tetbury Hospital

Booking an appointment

NHS appointments are booked following a referral from your GP, musculoskeletal triage team, optician or dentist. If you have been referred by your GP or musculoskeletal triage team, you will receive a letter with details of your hospital choices and a unique booking reference number. Once you have received your letter you can either:

  • Book online using the link provided in the letter and follow the instructions on the page to book your appointment. You will be given the option to select your preferred date and time.
  • Call the e-RS booking office and they can book your appointment for you. Their number can be found in your letter.
  • Call Tetbury Hospital Trust on 01666 502336 if you want to be seen by one of our consultants, and our friendly booking team will be able to help.

If your appointment is for ophthalmology or oral surgery, your optician or dentist will contact us, and an appointment will automatically be sent to you in the post. If the appointment date or time is unsuitable for you, please contact our Tetbury Hospital bookings team and they can rearrange your appointment for you.

The minor surgery was fine but what makes you excellent is the people. Friendly, reassuring, efficient and just nice to have around.
