About the role
Are you passionate about delivering high quality patient centred care in a well-equipped and established day surgery unit? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Practitioner to join our committed team of clinicians and consultants on a permanent basis for 30hours per week. The hospital comprises of a well-equipped theatre and purpose-built procedure room. You’ll be working with a compassionate clinical team committed to delivering the best in care and rated Good by the Care Quality Commission. As we continue to expand the services we offer, we are seeking a registered Operating Department Practitioner/Theatre Nurse with experience of scrub, theatre runner, anaesthetics and recovery.

Tetbury Hospital is an independent healthcare provider in the heart of the Cotswolds providing an established day surgery service to patients who choose to have their NHS surgery at Tetbury. The hospital is highly regarded by our visiting consulting body who provide a wide range of specialities including ophthalmic, general and gynaecological surgery. The primary focus of the hospital is the NHS services we provide across our outpatients, day surgery and minor injury and illness unit. About you
We are looking for an experienced Theatre Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner who is HCPC registered and able to demonstrate current clinical skills and knowledge.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A passion for providing high quality care
- Evidence of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- A flexible approach to work, and a positive attitude
An additional teaching/assessing qualification, audit skills and previous experience in a wide range of surgical specialities would be beneficial but full training will be provided.
