How can I get a referral?

If you would like to see one of our specialists as ab NHS patient, please discuss it with your GP, orthopaedic triage team (MSKAPS), optician or dentist. They may suggest you come to us, or you can ask for a specific referral to Tetbury Hospital Trust.

For private patients, please go to our private patients page.

What will happen before my appointment?

Your appointment letter will tell you everything you need to know about your procedure. If you have any communication, mobility or learning disabilities that you will need support with, please let us know by calling the telephone number on your appointment letter.

What will happen during my appointment?

Our consultant or nurse practitioner will treat you in one of our seven well equipped consulting rooms or our procedure room. We want every patient to be as confident and relaxed as possible so we encourage you to ask questions or express any concerns you may have about your procedure and recovery. It is not always easy to remember what you want to ask so we advise writing your questions down beforehand and bringing them with you.

If you need any further appointments or need to be referred for treatment or surgery, your consultant will discuss this with you. We will also post you a confirmation letter so please make sure your address is up to date on our system.

How can I change or cancel an appointment?

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible by calling the telephone number on your letter. If you don’t attend your appointment and don’t let us know, you will not automatically be offered another.

Occasionally we may need to cancel or move your appointment but we will always try to give patients as much notice as possible and accommodate suitable rescheduling.

What do I do if I feel unwell?

If you have been vomiting or had diarrhoea in the previous three days or have any symptoms or have tested positive for coronavirus, please call us on 01666 502336 to rearrange your appointment to safeguard our team and other patients. If you are not sure whether you should attend, call us and we will be happy to advise you further.

What do I need to bring with me to the appointment?

Please bring your appointment letter and a list of any medications you are taking and let us know about any changes in your health since we last saw you.

Is there parking at the Hospital?

We have free patient parking (including 3 blue badge spaces) but it is limited so we ask that you arrange to be dropped off at the Hospital if possible. Patient transport can be provided for patients with specific needs identified by a GP.

What do I do on arrival?

When you arrive, please use the main entrance under the covered walkway (it has disability ramp access) and check in with our friendly reception team. They will direct you to the waiting room where there is a hot drink vending machine that requires coins and a snack vending machine that accepts cash or card.
