Miss Rooker treats NHS and private patients at Tetbury Hospital Trust.
She gained her medical degree from Oxford University in 2005. Miss Rooker completed foundation training in Oxford and in 2007 was allocated a run-through training number for Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Severn Deanery.
Having completed her orthopaedic training, Miss Rooker was awarded a prestigious ATP Fellowship at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where she received further sub-specialist training in hand and wrist surgery.
During her fellowship, she worked in a combined orthopaedic and plastic hand unit, benefiting from exposure to both specialties. In 2017 she was awarded the British Hand Society International Travelling Fellow Scholarship to attend the American Hand Society meeting in San Francisco and visited several specialist centres in the United States including The Mayo Clinic (Rochester), Michigan University and Stanford. She was awarded the PGDip (Hand Surgery) in association with Manchester University in 2018.
Miss Rooker currently works as a full-time consultant at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon and has a particular interest in education and teaching. She is a tutor for Bristol, Oxford and King’s College University students.
