Mr Comaish treats NHS and private patients at Tetbury Hospital Trust. Mr Comaish is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 30 years’ experience in ophthalmology in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He trained in pre-clinical medicine at Cambridge University (where he also found time to pick up a degree in the History of Art) and completed his medical degree at Oxford University in 1991
Mr Comaish began his ophthalmic training in 1994 at The Royal United Hospital in Bath. During his surgical training, he worked at the prestigious Medical Eye Unit at St Thomas’s Hospital in London, the Royal Eye Infirmary in Plymouth and the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he undertook a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery. He also undertook a fellowship in Sydney, Australia in corneal surgery which included refractive surgery and corneal transplantation. He has contributed numerous articles to the scientific literature in his field.
Mr Comaish has practised at Tetbury Hospital Trust for over 10 years, primarily in general ophthalmology, especially unilateral and bilateral cataract surgery, informed by his experience in refractive surgery and surgery of the eyelids.
