Dr Howard treats private patients at Tetbury Hospital Trust. She is a leading dermatologist at the internationally renowned St John’s Institute for Dermatology based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. She studied medicine at Edinburgh University. Her postgraduate training and specialist training in dermatology continued in London and then Bristol after which she became a Consultant Dermatologist.

She went on to complete a prestigious one-year accredited fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at the forward-thinking Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
With nearly 20 years of working in the NHS, Dr Howard has a wealth of experience in diagnosing and treating a range of medical dermatological conditions, skin cancers and benign lesions. Her specialist interest is in paediatric and adolescent dermatology.
She conducts research into dermatological conditions and patient experiences as an essential part of her job. She is actively involved with national and international research projects and trials and has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She is also the Lead for Quality at the St Johns Institute of Dermatology and has spoken nationally and internationally at scientific meetings and to the media about skin-related issues.
A strong advocate for her patients, she is on the Board of the charity Changing Faces, and she has completed several fundraising challenges, including the London Marathon.
