An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Secretary to join the friendly, dedicated, and professional secretarial team at Tetbury Hospital on a bank (zero hours) basis.

Hours will be available on an ad hoc basis to support busy times of the year and absences form the team.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will support a comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative service to the consultants and teams at the Hospital. Working flexibly to ensure that when our office is busy the secretarial typing function is maintained to a very high standard, this role will cover the existing teams planned and unplanned leave.

The successful candidate will join a team of four secretaries providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service whilst also acting as a point of liaison between patients, Consultants, GPs, other staff, and outside agencies.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will:

• Be highly organised and motivated
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have a sound knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Have excellent keyboard skills
• Ideally have Audio typing experience
• Ideally have a Working knowledge of Trak-care, our patient software system (preferred but not essential)

The successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative but also work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role holder will be required to attend all appropriate team meetings and mandatory training sessions.

The Package
We can offer hours on a Bank (Zero) hours basis, with a starting hourly pay rate of between £ 9.76 and £ 10.79 per hour. A pay review is pending for this role. This role is a Grade S (NHS Band 3 equivalent).
