Salary: £9.63 - £10.64 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bank Medical Secretary to support a friendly, dedicated and professional team, at our hospital. The successful candidate will work flexibly and ensure that when our office is busy the secretarial typing function is maintained to a very high standard, this role will also cover the existing teams’ planned and unplanned leave.
You will be required to provide a comprehensive administrative service to the consultants and teams. You will join our team of five secretaries providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service whilst also acting as a point of liaison between patients, Consultants, GPs, other staff and outside agencies.
It is essential that you are an organised and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of medical terminology would be required.
Skills and experience
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Excellent keyboard skills are essential
- Audio typing experience preferred
- A Working knowledge of Trak-care, our patient software system would be an advantage
The successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative but also work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to complete all mandatory training.
